WHO OPERATES THIS SITE

OpenAI provides ChatGPT Sites hosting and related infrastructure. OpenAI is the hosting/service provider, not the owner of this project.

WHAT WE PROCESS

• Names you check: processed transiently to perform the lookup. The application does not write searched names to its database or analytics events.
• Security data: a salted SHA-256 hash derived from the request IP is used in short rate-limit windows. Raw IP addresses are not written to the application database.
• Consent choice: version, Analytics on/off, and the date of your choice in the necessary aiby_consent cookie.
• Theme preference: if you use the theme switch, aiby_theme stores only light or dark in your browser. System mode removes it.
• Optional Analytics: only after consent, a random UUID in aiby_visitor, a salted hash of it in the database, first/last activity times, and allowlisted events such as page view, share click, support-link click, and YES/NO check events. Searched names are not event values.
• Aggregate counters: valid checks and YES/NO totals. These are not linked to a browser identifier and continue without Analytics consent.

WHY

We process requests, transient search input, and pseudonymous rate-limit data to operate and secure the free site, prevent abuse, and return the result you asked for. We rely on legitimate interests for those limited operational and security purposes.

Optional Analytics is based on consent. It remains off until you choose ACCEPT OPTIONAL, and you can withdraw that consent through Cookie Settings without losing any site function.

The theme preference is written only when you explicitly request a visual mode. It is used solely to provide that requested interface preference and is never sent as an analytics value.

RETENTION

• Searched names: not stored in the application database.
• Rate-limit records: deleted after at most 24 hours.
• Consent cookie: 12 months, unless replaced by a newer choice or schema version.
• Theme preference: 12 months, replaced when you choose another theme, and deleted when you return to System.
• Optional visitor cookie: 12 months; its inactive server record is deleted after approximately 12 months.
• Optional event rows: 90 days.
• Aggregate counters: kept without a fixed end date because they do not identify a visitor.

HOSTING AND OTHER PARTIES

ChatGPT Sites/OpenAI hosts the code, D1 database, assets, and infrastructure logs. Sites also records aggregate Site traffic automatically without an application analytics SDK. The operator can view aggregate Sites traffic analytics.

ChatGPT Sites does not support data or inference residency at launch, including for deployed Sites, D1 data, and logs. We therefore do not promise a specific hosting country. See the official ChatGPT Sites documentation for current hosting information.

Ko-fi is only an external support link. Facebook, X, WhatsApp, RTB, Wikidata, and source pages are contacted only if you choose their links. Their own policies then apply.

TECHNICAL LOGS

The hosting platform may process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, requested URL, and error/security information to deliver and protect the service. The application does not control or claim a specific retention period for platform logs; consult the current terms and documentation that apply to the operator's ChatGPT Sites account.

If you deliberately share a result URL containing ?name=, that name becomes part of the URL you chose to share and may appear in browser history, recipient systems, or hosting request logs.

YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or object to processing, and withdraw Analytics consent at any time. You may also complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) or another competent supervisory authority.

POLICY CHANGES

If optional purposes or providers materially change, the consent schema version will be increased and the site will ask again. This policy must be reviewed before adding any analytics SDK, embedded widget, account system, form, or active payment flow.
